   it supports text communication too, but yeah, nobody uses it for that.

   I'm just saying for barrier-of-entry its probably the easiest to use. IRC is similar in that regard.

     @soapone @rher @prettygood it’s not even a mind trick, it’s right. Why would I install matrix to talk to nobody. You have to move entire friend groups, and usually the impetus is cancellation of the platform. We had a Skype group chat til the second they shut it down
