🗣️ AM I MISSING SOMETHING ABOUT INTERNET PAYMENT METHODS AND GERMAN / SWISS / EU COMMERCE LAW WITH COMPANIES LIKE @protonprivacy@Tutanota?!?!
with Proton, they make it virtually impossible to change payment plans. the hoops they are making me jump are so convoluted that am trying to pay just to fucking leave the service.
with TutaNota, they tell you to contact the sales team to set up bank transfers but then YOU CANNOT CONTACT THEM FROM A FREE ACCOUNT?!? what the hell is wrong with them?
it's inconceivable to me that you would deliberately obfuscate not only how to contact your company, but how to implement or change payment methods, with or without an account.
if you give a free account, you better have a link in their somewhere for people to contact the department you say they have to contact for payment.
if you say people can change, up or down, payment schedules, you better have that set up in the invoicing section.
so take this as a reminder that NONE of the European tech companies being offered as alternatives to Google and other USA internet services have been scrutinized like the companies they are supposed to replace.
really fucking weird these companies have marquee lights for crypto payments but grock forbid you want to change payment methods to actually deal with a bank and an invoice.
