   I found it weird when it came to Christianity that racism was explicitly forbidden. Like, how can you not be racist in the first place? It just wasn't for me.

     That's a personal choice and I respect it. But the word racism doesn't appear in the Bible and has no place in Christianity as I see it.

     My old pastor said that God wouldn't want anyone to be unkind to someone else over something trivial like racial stereotypes.

     Does a word have to be in the Bible for its essence to be conveyed, though?
