imo this kind of tech only exists because big corpo's need to infinitely scale, and should not be used on anything but similar software. foss software made by the community for community shouldn't use it and instead stride to keep things maintainable and hackable

@lunareclipse yeah my take is that 95% of use-cases can be covered with sftp+cron+metadata. But projects tend to use new shiny stuff that has no real reasons to be there. Just like companies like to use help,k8s and all that bullshit tech where just a simple docker stack/swarm would be enough. This overcomplication makes it nearly impossible to just open a project, find an issue and patch it in one day, you'll be too stuck reading pages and pages of docs to find the needle in a haystack of all this crap
