     That's one thing people rarely consider when they think about how nice it would to time travel into the past. You imagine the food being so fresh and wholesome - you'd have no idea what you were really eating or drinking half the time. In ancient Rome you'd be consuming tons of lead. Lead tastes sweet, they put it in everything.
