   @laprice That's the platform they've heard about, and they don't think to research alternatives. Mindshare + a culture of not thinking about things like ownership or even the fact that alternatives to the popular thing might even exist. Is my guess.

     Another day, another leftist journalist being separated from their mainstream media gig and starting their own thing __on Substack__.

     What is the appeal of going to a platform with problematic owners who will sell you out to Elon & the Felon ?

     Is it money? Hassle? It's certainly not design.
