@pengilly Ooh, I just got back into reading fanfic. Actually it comes and goes. As for writing, I used to have ideas, but never the patience to sit and write. I'm annoyed the AO3 RSS feed has gone down.
@Fragglemuppet Just procrastinating writing a fanfic getting vital motivation browsing Mastodon. It's where one half of my OTP angsts over being unable to have a child, and her partner comforts her.
One of the reasons why the pairing is unpopular is because fans think they're biologically incompatible/would have freaky-looking kids, and since I'm kinda leaning into that shamelessly in this fic, it might piss off shippers and non-shippers alike, haha. I have no intention of releasing it to the public anytime soon, so I'm just putting that out of my mind by writing now, and worrying about whether or not it's socially acceptable it later XD Perhaps that's exciting?
@Fragglemuppet Wait, the AO3 RSS feed has gone down?! I'm so out of the loop! I'll have to check my feeds again just to see nothing, and agonize over it!
The fandom is Sonic the Hedgehog :blobcatpeekaboo:
@pengilly Oh, I'm used to mine being slow, but I'm not getting anything. It either says "unknown feed" or else it's totally empty. I'd reload all of them, even though I just did it last week, but as of earlier today the site wasn't letting me get to them. I'll try again. Thanks!
@Fragglemuppet Just checked mine, and I think they're behind by two days. I checked manually, and several new works have been posted that haven't shown up in the feeds 😔
@pengilly I use the one in Tweesecake. I tried using a site but I didn't like it, then I learned TC had one, the same app I use for Mastodon, so it was great to have it all in one. If I use another one, I'd like it to be a desktop app. I also need to consider accessibility.
@Fragglemuppet Hm, I use feeder.co, and mine usually mine update within a day or so (Officially it's supposed to update within half an hour, though I've never tested that claim). What site do you use?
@pengilly TC? Yeah, it's great! Honestly, the main draw was the soundpacks. I like my computer to make fun sounds, lol. I've been getting more use out of the radio player, too, and I've got about 70 feeds when they work right.
@Fragglemuppet Just looked it up, started scrolling through the docs, and the versatility looks really impressive. (Non-techie viewpoint, but it's nice to hear about another place to get feeds from, even if it does sacrifice for functionality in other areas!)
