   I just realized that the experience I have giving tech interviews must be more or less the experience that someone attractive has while dating.

   There's a constant stream of candidates who really want this to work out, even if just for a little while. On my end it's an only occasionally stressful experience, focused around evaluating the overall potential of each candidate and looking out for red flags to avoid a potentially messy relationship.

     @urusan whenever i interviewed i just don't give a shit. when i did tests in schools/college i also just didn't give a shit. people sometimes would ask "are you ready for the test?" and i would just say hope so because its too late to do anything about now.
     
     people talk about attitude this and that but they're really just mirroring the projection. if you're projecting frustration at failure people just blame you for talking about failure because you made them feel bad. if you're projecting nervousness and a lack of acceptance they pick up on some desperation subcue.
     
     just don't give a shit. about anything. there is no mirror of presence :blobcatdunno:
