It seems a lifetime ago that I drank 'school milk' distributed by the 'milk monitor'.

Circa 2016 I was at my old school to fix a computer. They were renovating, and had finally retrieved the unopened milk my buddy had thrown up into the lunchroom "light shelf" (lights that ran the perimeter of the room, recessed in a weird thick shelf thing) in the mid 90s. The section of "the shelf" was there, now on the floor. It was the most horrific food related thing I have ever seen.

And in my lifetime ago, 50+ years ago, it was proper milk too. -

Oh it did, but it was so gross. It had plenty of time contained, and thus not dry, to become horrifically disgusting before bursting out and then drying that way.

@hellomiakoda
I'm impressed it hadn't dried to a crust or been entirely eaten by some life form.
