This is how parliamentary democracies work.

In Canada whenever a minister makes an announcement the opposition critic immediately issues and counter announcement to try to shape the narrative. Its annoying as shit some times but it is quite effective. Some politicians excel at this kind of thing.

I find is so strange that in the #USA there seems be a complete vacuum where the opposition should be.
