finally got out for a bike ride again, and on my road bike!
5.25 miles one way, 600ft climb in that last mile
super fun route, especially the 600ft descent on the way back. i don't go under the 35mph speed limit the entire way down.

weather was also beautiful. 40-odd fahrenheit, few flakes of snow falling, completely overcast, mountains clouded in, just gorgeous day out

@doskel Amazing how much jump are left in the legs when presented with a sweet downhill run after climbing, eh?
I've broken 100 km/h cycling in the Rockies in Alberta. It's a trip (and a one-way trip, if you bail at that speed). Lots of fun, and makes an entire morning of slogging up a mountain pass well worth it.

@ve3qbz @doskel I think my fastest descent was around 45 MPH, but I regularly do 25-30 MPH downhill in the city. -

@tk @doskel 45 is quick! It's crazy how hard you have to push at those speeds to beat the wind resistance and really crank the speed up.
