Modern Tomb Raider games can be fun themselves... but they are very different and don't fit that slot that ass kicking classic Lara resides in.
Taking out a fucking tiger mid flip over a chasm is bad ass. ....and I seek that feeling of strength these days.

On Playstation, the remasters are worth it. The HD remaster is excellent on all except Angel of Darkness (it's not bad, it's barely noticable), and SD mode is identical to the original except that it's scaled to fit high and the view has been extended to the sides to fit 16 by 9.
The trophies are a nice add. Having them on a platform that has wireless controllers, and internal storage for the saves is real nice. -

@hellomiakoda I've been wanting to play them for a while so I'm tempted. One question though because I always like to experience the original as much as possible, they're still available for purchase apparently. Are the remasters identical or more worth it in some way?
Edit: I'm a PC player so maybe it wouldn't matter that much in my case

In TR 1, you can pick between only the original save crystals, or save as much as you please (all of the first 3, and presumably the rest, count how many times you save)
You can use modern controls (which I personally hate for these games) or original tank controls.I have them, so if there is anything you want to see (that doesn't rely on skill to find, lol), I wouldn't mind recording and sharing with you.
