   Why do images of older posts take forever to load? Is this the issue on the end of my hoster? #mastodon

     @dhalucario it's probably because they're only cached on your instance and you probably clear that cache sometimes. Therefore on older posts, it has to ask the original instance for the image again and that might not be a high priority for the job queue.

     Also, even if you find a way to do it on your end, you're at the mercy of the other instances queue as well.🤷♂️

     @BeAware Is there a way to maybe prioritize image loading? Its genuinely annoying when I wanna watch an artists gallery and it just wont load half of it.
