if your project is so difficult to compile into a usable binary that not even seasoned maintainers can do it, are you really making #FreeSoftware, or is it a "letter of the law but not the spirit of the law" situation?
I wonder what the opinion of actual devs and distro maintainers are.
@nicemicro There's a difference between a usable and fully functional binary, OBS in the Arch repos for example is functional you can record, you can stream but some of the advanced functionality is broken as Arch ships the wrong version of a dependency. The same is true for the Fedora Flatpak introducing new bugs thanks to playing around with dependency versions, not having it configured for a flatpak environment in the same was as official etc.
