@whiteman_ How roomy? I like the new Toyotas for design and the ride is comfier than expected. Mazda 3 is the best sedan for price vs performance + value. Comfiest would be going crossover route and that opens up things a lot.

@6gorillanbarsofjewsoap @whiteman_ It's both. It is somewhat differentiated from the focus, particularly suspension and interior. It used to be a independent wishbone suspension but I think they might've changed he.

@BowsacNoodle Roomy enough for women and elderly to not complain about how cramped it is.
I like the Mazdas. Are they good long term? (E.gm buying used isn't bad)

@whiteman_ Mazdas are fairly comfy. For elderly, the three might be a bit too low. Reliability is solid for the most part, same with Honda and close to Toyota. They're GDI so make sure there's good consistent oil changes and if mileage seems exceptionally low, you will have carboned valves that can impact power from very light synthetic oils crystalize after piston ring blowby if total runtime is insufficient. All GDI vehicles have this except for ones with dual injection or catch cans, and Mazda didn't do either of those to my knowledge. For used I'd avoid the Chevy equinox (blowby issues, upper intake manifold melts because plastic) and its Gay Man's Chevy equivalent. I don't know enough about the little 3 cylinder turbo GM engines to comment. Ford makes good engines, weird transmissions. Honda makes great engines with meh transmissions. Toyota is the gold standard (Scotty Kilmore smiles) for all around reliability. Avoid Subaru unless you want engine issues around 100k.
