Bummer. Broke the catalytic converter on my car. It'll cost about the same as the blue book value to repair, so now I have to decide if it's worth keeping.
I really love that car. It's been a dang good car. I have 250K miles on it.
Maybe I'll switch back to a pickup truck.

I'm pretty good with repairing stuff around the house, but I never got into cars.

And it is required in my state.

You will need a proper mechanic. How do you know it's broken?

I had a check engine light come on, so I took to get scanned at a local auto parts store. They gave me a printout with the information.
