     For search, just go to DuckDuckGo.com

     For things like email, calendsr, etc, you'll need a provider. NextCloud is my fave for calendar and stuff. You can self host, or get an account on a provider's server.
     EteSync has options as well.

     For email, I use @runbox - cheap, outside the US, and their snoop rate is 0 messages per infinity. 👍
     Their compatability is also quite excellent. I haven't yet found an email client I can't get it to work on.
