This is one of the problems with RFK Jr.
His complete lack of real world experience severely limits him.
He says things that sound practical at face-value, but would be a disaster to try to implement. The end result of this idea would be lots of medication, most everything covered by foreign patents, would became completely unavailable in America.
He makes ridiculous promises, that he knows he can't deliver, for political gain, and I don't like that at all.
He's a big government liberal.

He was a spokesman for a bunch of utterly insane environmentalist organizations.
That's why Obama wanted to make him head of the EPA.

No, @chanon is quite astute. The original post was about drugs being made here. That was what my reply was about, but then you dragged 2A into it as if it was part of that conversation. That's not the way to have a thread of conversation and I usually end up just ignoring posts/replies like that and moving on. I pointed out that I DO support his notion of bringing drug-making back on-shore. I don't trust making them in China. It's a good stance on that topic.

@ILoveAmericaNews generally i agree - there would need to significant investment to build the facilities and train the skilled workers. Which should be done at the cost of industry and local government (IF voted on by citizens)

@Dan_Ramos @ILoveAmericaNews I am too. We do have some pharma manufacturing in the USA and we certainly could have more. I would support tax incentives for new pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and government reserves of certain pharmaceuticals.
