@p @whereverbot Springs often run 24/7 so there isn't enough time for water to stay still and freeze. We have a shitton of them here, parking spots are often full in peak hours and there's a line cause people don't trust fluoride.

@mint @whereverbot Japan doesn't fluoridate their water, but the spring water up in the mountains is really good.
Used to go up to the spring with my grandmother, she'd deputize my brother and me to do all the lifting. (We didn't get the job done very quickly but it was probably funny to watch kindergarten-aged kids carry the big jugs of water.) We never went in the winter.

i live those water delivery systems they have in their mountain towns. they have offshoots acting as sinks in homes/restaurants and then they have drains on the streets for the used water that has fish and crawdads in it cleaning up and leftovers bits as it goes down to drain back into the river on the other side of town.
