   I’m getting worried about #pixelfed.

   Raising money without a roadmap - fine.
   Lead dev just throwing out ideas for next projects that the money was not for (then deleting the post when there was backlash) - red flag. Also seems like a lot of ego in there.

   We should not idealize platforms and people - rather we should look at what we see and ask ourselves if we actually like what is happening.

   Especially when it involves one of the biggest projects in the #fediverse.

   Hope my worry is unfounded

     @mrkreuzer We have a roadmap that will be published soon, but your statement was pretty loaded so I just ask you this, have you asked a Pixelfed user how much they enjoy the platform?

     @dansup thank you for replying.

     I’m not saying the app is bad. The criticism is not about the app itself, rather mildly concerning posts by you i keep seeing. Mildly, so no strong feelings involved here. After all we are talking about a free app that’s still much preferable to Instagram.

     So by no means i mean to make this emotionally loaded.

     The concern I guess is: loosing that great project because of someone in charge whose ego takes control at some point.

     @mrkreuzer I get that, and while I have to try to balance it all out, I deal with a lot of hate and sometimes I treat people the way they treat me.

     I don't regret anything though, we're building something pretty amazing, and I am establishing a foundation to take over, as I said many times, I don't want to be a BDFL.

     I just like coding and building cool things.

     @dansup hate is absolutely not acceptable. We both agree on that.

     Also, thank you for the productive reactions - wishing you best of luck! Fediverse needs big projects to succeed - the bigger they are the better, stronger and responsible they (and their teams) have to be.
