   Running 4K Ultra benchmarks of Monster Hunter Wilds and feeling how warm this room became with no heater on and 40F outside, reminds me that, yea, I never want to play games on a beefy PC during the summer ever again. (Or ever, period, if I'm being honest)

     @jimsalter Oh absolutely. But even running this rig with demanding games at 1440p or 1080p is going to cook the room. (It's a Ryzen 7 8700G + RTX 4080 Super system)

     @killyourfm 4K just isn't worth it at this stage of tech, IMO. I've always been a fan of consistent frame rate (and not cooking an entire room) over running the highest rez possible.

     @Jojonintendo That's a smart approach! Come to think of it, I've noticed similar performance stories on something like the Legion Go -- operating that at 15W instead of 25W or 30W is the way to go, because the performances losses aren't bad considering the TDP is almost cut in half.

     @killyourfm I use a "summer profile" for my GPU, which basically halves its wattage. The fun part is that performance is not halved at all most of the time, because at full tilt there are much more losses in efficiency.
