   I've been streaming a bit with #Owncast and #OBSStudio and also recording the same video to use as VODs. But those video files of course don't include any kind of live chat replay.
   
   Is there a way to make some format of self-hosted VODs available with live chat replay?

     @starlight what do you use for live chat display in stream? afaik, the chat can also opened as a standalone window, so you could include that as a source in your obs setup
     
     but i think @mezzodrinker@social.mezzo.moe can help you out with that way better than i can

     @starlight @mezzodrinker@social.mezzo.moe you can use browser source inside obs to include theoratically everything web based to some extend

     :02Calc: For now I've just left everything as default and used whatever live chat that Owncast comes with out of the box-- I haven't researched it at all, or for that matter what options exist within OBS.

     @puniko @mezzodrinker @starlight yeah you can use /embed/chat/readonly to add a chat to your OBS scene as a browser source
     probably the easiest way with the caveat that it'd be there in the livestream too
