DruidI miss the days when you could leave youtube on autoplay with a good album on and just get a constant stream of good shit. Now you have to be on constant guard for AIslop music and you can't even use the album year to differentiate it because AIslop artists have appropriated the practice of having fake LARP years for your recent retraux albums.
@druid Yeah discoverability was nice, although with chatrooms and fedi it could also work pretty well, just need web to still be surfable (wish I didn't need to say this😩️) and people to get used to actually share what they like again instead of just clicking a "like" button.
@lanodan I just really enjoy the discoverability. I've found so many of my favourite albums through letting the algorithm do whatever. Before the age of AIslop it was awesome.
@lanodan It's a nice idea but honestly, I'm so used to having people recommend me music and me not enjoying it. I had a higher hit rate when a machine was analysing it.
