     @TerryHancock there are many different types of walkies which work on many different bands.

     CB is AM or SSB; the Baofengs are FM, so they don't talk to CB. but, in the USA they can talk to ham VHF, not-quite-legally to GMRS (with a $35 license which covers your entire family for 10 years), and illegally to MURS, FRS, FM business radios, and marine VHF.

     in practice, nobody gives a shit that people use the Baofengs on bands they aren't certified for as long as you're polite.

     Don't walkie-talkies work on a CB band..? It's been awhile, but I seem to remember them working on one or more of the lower CB channels. 🤔
