@taylan@fedi.feministwiki.org @Suiseiseki@freesoftwareextremist.com @sally@freesoftwareextremist.com Trans-exclusionary feminists say they only want transgender people exist if they stop doing anything that makes them transgender (i.e. being accepted by society as a gender they were not born with, which includes being able to use the fucking bathroom).

That is basically shorthand for transgender people are not allowed to exist.

Wow, this is the biggest goalpost-move / straw man I've ever seen in my entire life.

One moment it's about "not concerned with the issues of X people" and the next moment it's "not wanting X people to exist."

@taylan@fedi.feministwiki.org @Suiseiseki@freesoftwareextremist.com @sally@freesoftwareextremist.com Calling transgender women "male" means you don't acknowledged their existence as women, moron.

I'm not moving goalposts, you're just saying the same shit with better sounding words.

Actually, I made a mistake. The goalpost move was even bigger than that!

One moment it's "not concerned with issues faced by *male* people" and the next it's "not wanting *trans* people to exist."

@taylan@fedi.feministwiki.org @Suiseiseki@freesoftwareextremist.com @sally@freesoftwareextremist.com There's a huge difference between identifying as something that is reasonable for a human person to identify as, like being a woman. Or identify as something unreasonable that no other human identifies as such as attack helicopter, cat, or whatever silly example you want to falsely compare this to.

      > Calling transgender women "male" means you don't acknowledged their existence as women

Correct, because they don't "exist as women." Not any more than I "exist as a cat" if I say I am one.

You think disagreeing with someone's self-perception is the same thing as "not wanting them to exist"?

@taylan@fedi.feministwiki.org @quasi@peister.org In humans, the word female can also be used to refer to gender in the social sense of gender role or gender identity.Last time I checked we're humans.

        Female
An organism's sex is female (symbol: ♀) if it produces the ovum (egg cell), the type of gamete (sex cell) that fuses with the male gamete (sperm cell) during sexual reproduction. A female has larger gametes than a male. Females and males are results of the anisogamous reproduction system, wherein gametes are of different sizes (unlike isogamy where they are the same size). The exact mechanism of female gamete evolution remains unknown. In species that have males and females, sex-determination may be based on either sex chromosomes, or environmental conditions. Most female mammals, including female humans, have two X chromosomes. Characteristics of organisms with a female sex vary between different species, having different female reproductive systems, with some species showing characteristics secondary to the reproductive system, as with mammary glands in mammals. In humans, the word female can also be used to refer to gender in the social sense of gender role or gender identity. Etymology and usage The word female comes from the Latin ...

@SuperDicq @quasi @taylan Wikipedia also claims that Linux is more than a kernel, which is totally incorrect.
