     Ran into that recently when fiddling with Klipper.
     Thankfully /dev/serial/by-id/ is a bit better.

     @lanodan pretty sure I have a pc at work that has nearly 200 tty's, like 20 of them are usb :ameowree:

     Also part of that is why I think I might just consider that a TTY-USB adapter is more or less permanently attached to it's board.
