   I treat all people equally. I always have and always will. I control MY OWN BEHAVIOR and my principles and morals CAN’T BE CHANGED. I KNOW THIS about myself because I’ve practiced this for 61 years EVEN THOUGH I’m treated like shit by many.

     @StillIRise1963 No one is born with that hate. That is taught.

     There were many in my life who tried to teach me that. There were many more white family, teachers, church leaders, etc who didn't try to teach that but accepted it, and tried very hard to make me accept it.

     I don't accept it though. I refuse to hate and I refuse to accept it from others. Most importantly, I am trying very hard to teach my children and give them a better example.

     I know I'm not perfect, and still have much to learn. I accept that and am willing to listen. I want that from others.

     @m All it is. I’ve been tested in this arena all of my life and I made a CHOICE even though that choice is not reciprocated in the nation I’m from. The majority of white Americans can’t say the same.
