@rachael it was briefly over 7% in 2021, and the whole year inflation that year was 7%.

Lol during executive session on HB 1417 an amendment to add inflation to the max for how much rent can go up so it's 7% plus current inflation rate on the grounds that sometimes inflation is more than 7%. Which lol. Has that even happened in my lifetime?? #waleg

I do really wish when substitutes for a #waleg bill were introduced there was a "diff" provided.

A minor example of how different the bill text can be for proposed bills in #waleg attempting to address the same issue is HB 1402 vs SB 5501. Both are attempting to remove drivers license requirements for work when it's not essential but the bills are different!
https://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillNumber=1402&Year=2025&Initiative=false
https://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillNumber=5501&Year=2025&Initiative=false1402 has no enforcement mechanism while 5501 does. 5501 is non-specific about what reasonable expectations of driving being essential to a job while 1402 is slightly more specific.
