@VIPPER @jimmy debian was very comfy and stable compared to ubuntu and all the other distros that abstract everything, never had anything break on it i just got pissed at its package manager cuz thats all a distro is (along with the shitty default options that mess with your workflow) and i'd rather have a good one

@VIPPER @jimmy @meso Plus if you have a ton of programs Windows goes ahead and manually tries to load icons for all of them and probably also tries to load a bunch of other cache stuff on start up. In 2018 my shitty notebook took around 10 minutes to boot because I had a ton of files on disk and a lot of programs installed on the system, unfortunately the notebook also used a hard drive. So I always kept it asleep when I wasn't using it and just woke up the notebook whenever I wanted to use it. That was a time
