     I made it ungendered because I felt like it'd be weird (in the way Republicans are) putting "husband" in there, coming from someone masc appearing, even in light of the obvious gendered direction of the threat of taking away divorce, but if works for you, 🤷 🙃

     @dalias if the goal is to poke certain dudes in the insecurity, using gender-neutral language will probably further that goal!

     @cliffle I also prefer it, because while it's not the electoral level problem, there are both queer relationships where one partner is an abusive MAGAt, and straight relationships where it's the man (probably higher than average chance of being closeted queer) whose wife is MAGA. And in all these cases there are intersectional threats together with threat of taking away divorce - like jurisdiction that issued the marriage refusing to issue divorce because they no longer recognize the marriage, while other jurisdictions do.
