   @dansup While I fully share your excitement, general optimism, and that I am convinced of the advantages of federation and open source: Don't under-estimate the billionaires and big tech companies.

   They have a lot of money as backing and probably haven't really started fighting us because, so far, our platforms haven't been relevant enough.

   This is bound to change as more and more people leave their platforms.

   And their fight will be fierce.

     @dansup In my opinion, the recent DeepSeek occurrence illustrated quite vividly the magnitude of open-source code and collaboration.

     I'm sure, there is never "enough" money, but isn't it mesmerizing how less than 2,000 people can back such magnificent change?
