     Ah, yes the JOY of hounding a working woman whose daughter has sickle-cell. The JOY of forcing convicts to fight fires but never allowing them to actually become firefighters.

     Hateful "public servants" but now the hate has the lid off and suddenly it's too much for them and their fans.

     @xenophora @OsirisSaline In a couple of months it will have been a whole year since I lent my car to my eighty year-old parents so they can drive for DoorDash because they're otherwise unemployable.

     Needless to say, I'm not exactly patriotic or joyous.

     I hope my brother is looking out well for my 80+ Mom because the last time we talked politics they both shouted at me nonstop about my electoral choices until I gave up talking. Pppphhhtttt! Liberals.

     I am honestly in no hurry to see either of them ever again. :/

     I think my family's doing fine and of course, so am I compared to many. I hope I can stay stable because THE LAST THING I would want would be having to appeal to them for help in a crunch.

     @xenophora @OsirisSaline I love my parents and do what I can for them, but I can't deny that when they pass away it will be a relief of sorts, because it will be the last time I have to shell out cash on their behalf due to their exceedingly poor choices.

     I would probably try and pitch in to help my Mom if she really needed that. It would honestly be easier to take than the reverse.
