This is motivation for remote employees to quit. Many will take it rather than return to the office.
10% ish quitting is the expectation.

But those that are within a year of retirement will try to find a way to get out early if they can.
If someone has 4 weeks vacation and can use this 8 months, tipping out 9 months early is something I'd jump at. -

I wonder if it works like that.
No one close to retirement will take an 8 months buyout unless they also get to keep their retirement.

I was just pondering and I'm sure the unions are looking into it as well.
I had almost 2 months in time to burn before I "retired". My last day at work was Feb 5, my retirement day was April 2
