He has already been told by the SCOTUS that he can't be held accountable for any wrongdoing as long as he is president. He doesn't care what the law is or says. He will do what he wants.

Voting properly could have easily avoided all of this. I guess I’ll keep saying that until people finally figure it out.

@MJ @TonyStark @GGMcBG I think you're underestimating how thoroughly the understanding of the Electoral College has been communicated to voters. I live in a "blue state" and I got texts and emails nearly every day asking me to "donate so we can talk to purple state voters." No interest in what "safe state" voters want or how we spend election day. Just DONATE ...so we can talk to undecided voters. No one should be surprised that many took the message that the popular vote didn't matter.

      @TonyStark @GGMcBG I’ll help.

Republicans voted for 50 years to kill Roe and Obamacare and other things.

A bunch of voters who claim to be leftists literally refused to understand that democracy is fragile, and progress is slow. Too impatient to vote. They screwed me over.

It’s on the voters, not the candidates or campaigns. Plus the misogynoir didn’t help and that exists on the left, too.

We roll our eyes at people who get pissed nothing changed dramatically enough to make them personally happy after each election.
And it's the fault of every candidate and campaign, instilling that false sense. Voters told every time that THIS will be the time, get burned out, want constant "reboots".
Getting citizens to understand that "the Next vote makes this one better" can help defeat those predictable swings that somehow shift the balance right each time.
      Or could've, I guess.

@GGMcBG You’re about half right but I’m kind of past debating it.

@GGMcBG You’ve made your own point there. Having a positive presence, however small, for whatever was going to happen was important and would have led to better outcomes over time. This desperately awful situation isn’t new and isn’t going to end for potentially many more decades.

Now we are all worse off.

They can never see beyond their own selfishness.
I disagree fully that Biden and Harris couldn't bring themselves to tell Yahoo to eat it. This can't be a world where nuance for fragile emotions and weak egos and empty diplomacy mean lives. Can't.
And there are lots of things to examine and argue about it ALL.
But the simple point they missed was Door A leads to Death for us All, Door B means we can keep trying.
But they forced us all to just hope to survive.
      Worms.

@GGMcBG If anyone is asking “why aren’t Democrats doing anything?”, I have news.

That’s what happens when Trump wins the popular vote and EC and Republicans control with houses of Congress and SCOTUS.

They can do exactly as much as the power people voted for gave them. And the message those folks sent is “I don’t want Democrats in charge” so they owe them literally nothing.

Now all the fuggin' ding-dongs who grudge-fucked us here with a petty personal spite vote will be desperately talking about things like guardrails and silly fantasies of midterms, and why that's not their fault if Democrats can't swing it.
      Rot.

@MJ @TonyStark @GGMcBG And before this gets weird, I personally always vote because I want there to be a record that people like me go to the polls.
