   @joe @vitaut Hex float is 100% the best option. I can understand why some folks want to see something which is closer to what they would write rational numbers but then when it comes to floating point it is not exactly a number that is on paper. Base 16 for the win.

     @vitaut the most sensible default for binary floats is clearly hexadecimal float notation
