   Since you can follow across platforms in the #fediverse, how do you avoid just seeing the same posts across #Mastodon #lemmy #Friendica and #pixelfed ?

     @frebtherat if you have 4 separate accounts, just don't follow the same things on all 4? Or just don't have 4 accounts since they're mostly cross compatible anyway.🤷♂️

     @frebtherat well...you can follow both from one account.

     The only limitations are that Lemmy posts show up as links, so you'd have to click the link to read it, then return to your instance to reply.🤷♂️

     @BeAware that was my thought initially, but the formats are different. Let's say I'm interested in short microblogging content and longer form content about gardening. I follow a gardening community on Lemmy and a gardening hashtag on Mastodon. I end up with a lot of the same posts from the same accounts. I almost wish I could do a periodic auto reconciliation of my accounts to see where I've subscribed to the same hashtags or the same account content via communities.
