   It's pretty concerning that for the 2 most popular Fedi softwares, decentralization has basically gone out the window for the sake of popularity.🤦♂️

   We are more like Twitter and Instagram this month than ever before.😬

   I hope all the new people like Dan and Eugen in the long run. Otherwise I forsee a Mastodon and Pixelfed exodus in the future.

   Especially with how Eugen bans/limits accounts that discuss issues that are against his personal beliefs.

     @Sibshops to be quite honest, I don't care.

     If Fediverse is going to succeed at it's goal of being a decentralized social media that's an actual solution to the "social media overlord" then we need to stand our ground and make people learn.

     New solutions to problems don't happen without learning and nobody is learning shit here.

     Maybe me. I'm learning how history repeats itself over and over and nobody seems to care.🤦♂️

     @BeAware You are not wrong, I wonder if I should look into moving. I came to mastodon.online from another server because I follow Hank Green and The Onion from threads and like to see content from servers on a lot of people's blacklists like mastodon.cloud. I also want a server with manual or closed sign-ups to keep out the riff-raff.

     @AterNox @Sibshops that specifically is a mastodon incompetence issue.

     There's other software that can import mastodon posts that were grabbed from the export option. Mastodon has been dragging their feet on it for some reason.

     Sharkey's import feature works fine AFAIK.
