   hacking on some kinds of software keeps you humble. on others it makes you feel like a god. for a given project, let the difference between the two be known as its dynamic range. what project have you worked on that has the most dynamic range and why is it a garbage collector?

     @ramin_hal9001 @wingo for me that was #GNU Mes, hands down. And yes, it has a garbage collector.

     @wingo today I learned: type checkers are a kind of garbage collector.

     @ramin_hal9001 @wingo ... although my garbage collector is one of the most simplistic, used in educational texts, while other people work on a beyond state of the art version. ;)
