     One point of strong simplicity for ATProto vs ActivityPub is that with ATProto you don’t have to think about messaging anyone with your posts and updates. Here's some of the minutiae we have to think through. https://github.com/Automattic/wordpress-activitypub/pull/593#discussion_r1922888754

     Otherwise, followers might not receive updates to a post.

     @mattwiebe @pfefferle I only did a quick digest of the PR, so I might have missed a thing or two... but I was looking for a structured way of "boosting" / reposting an existing and already federated post from my WP to AP receivers. I guess that'd be a separate feature request?

     @pfefferle Maybe @rhrwllnrtr was thinking that the ActivityPub actor on the WP site would boost its own posts? Like, back in the day on Twitter, you would maybe go RT a tweet later in the day to get a bit more traction?
