   What about #Diaspora ?

   I think the development is bit stalled but it has potential.

   I connect rarely to be honest. But there is definitely an active (yet small) community.

     @dansup - also Diaspora is still a good option for this too, with a simpler to navigate ui and a smoother sign up process than Friendica, in my experience - https://diasporafoundation.org/

     @dansup @cedric - the Diaspora protocol can link up with ActivityPub, e.g. my Friendica account has no problem communicating with my Diaspora account.
