   i wonder if this new teamspeak update will change the scenario on gaming communication in any meaningful way.

   i used to use teamspeak a lot back in the days and after discord came out no one really ever managed to beat them.

   didn't look into it but hopefully this new ts6 is also self hostable. it'd better if it was open source though, mumble works but it's focus is mainly voip

     I remember how horribly complex TS3 could be if you wanted to install a license and keep the software updated.

     @selea never had to install a license for it, I didn't even know it had some sort of premium feature

     @cnx as i said mumble works but its focus is mainly on voice chatting.
