   @Richard_Littler Alas, the last point at which we could have avoided fighting fascism was probably in 2008, during the GFC. It was probably iffy any time after the US mid-terms of 1992. Someone with a time machine really needs to go back to 1990 and assassinate Newt Gingrich and Leonard Leo …

     I really hope we don't have to go through the rigmarole of fighting fascists again. It happens every now & then, and they always lose, but it's such a waste of people, time, money, and also costs us our humanity. So tiresome & predictable. Still, needs must. Once more unto the breach, dear friends.
