     @SirShawn kind of meaningless words though because the pardon basically erases any punishment associated with it
     
     i looked in to that once and they said it gets weird because you have to answer 'yes' to the 'did you ever get convicted of a crime' questions, but they recommend adding 'pardoned' to the answer because they're not actually allowed to use it against you :blobcatgoogly:

     @Alex @SirShawn in theory you can't pardon someone pre-emptively. in reality it will depend on if the judges remembered their balls that day or not

     @Alex @SirShawn there is a lesson from rome that blatant corruption erodes the respect for institutions people have and when the respect degrades too far they can and do just beat senators to death on the street (tiberius stalled this happening a time or two)
