Yes, looked very much like a Nazi salute, Musk is not even elected, I hope the UK and EU take action ASAP, between the right wing press and now right wing social media run by the far right. We are in for a very dangerous few years.
@zleap At the very least any "public institutions" (i.e. State, county, municipality, tax-funded organizations, etc) should remove their accounts on Elon's hate-disinformation amplification platform.. That should then reasonably remove the interest for news-media and then as a consequence also corporations to be there too, so decrease Elon's personal propaganda power and profiteering. I say "should", which unfortunately these days means... eh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ probably nothing. :-/
@zleap Well, yes, of course I agree since I never got farther than their Terms of Service the week of initial launch before I decided "that's unacceptable" and then never ever intentionally clicked a link to there again. Buuut, I think Zuck's got to do something more than abolish diversity, go to the inauguration and end moderation for it to be enough for a full break for them. The ending of moderation could result in an eventual EU-ban for hate-speech violations I suppose, but probably only after a process of over a year. Maybe. I don't know. *sigh*
My personaljournal.ca/paulsutton site is down at the moment, I have contacted the admin for help, from time to time this happens, (badly behaved services not restarting) On that I have put a link to the article about UK universities leaving.
All we can do I guess is try and contact insitutions to ask why they are still on X & fb/insta (meta) given what is happening,l and suggest they leave, misinformation is one thing, but the rhetoric against equality, is a different level.
