   ✨ joyful / empowering things I plan to do today ✨

   1) wrap presents for my favorite human’s upcoming 4th birthday
   2) print out a photo for each year of her life, to be shown at her school’s celebration
   3) donate to Trans Lifeline
   4) install Ghost on my VPS
   5) start building the magnificent LEGO typewriter (birthday present from years ago)
   6) write a blog post about self-hosting via YunoHost (hopefully inspiring others to follow my steps)

     @Caffetino the most time consuming thing is the assembly of the LEGO typewriter (2079 pieces) but it will be my main self-care activity for the week 🤗

     @_elena sounds wonderful. I'm working through the Lego technic Earth, Moon and Sun set. It's too easy so I'm trying to drag it out.

     It'd be good to see a photo of the typewriter when you're done!

     Oh dear maybe I picked the wrong self-care activity for today.

     With 30 minutes to spare before I pick up my child from pre-school, I opened the LEGO typewriter box, selected all the “1” bags and saw this complex thing in the first page of instructions.

     I’ve been building LEGO sets since I was a small child and I have never seen anything like this 😵💫

     Ok so maybe I’ll get started when she’s asleep.

     On the upside, I’ll be offline for the rest of the day, yay.

     @venite I hope so… usually the x9 suffices… I’ve never seen this in any other manual, like am I supposed to stack them together somehow? Veeeery confusing 🫤

     (Reading the comments, I can see how those explanations might make sense, but it’s really the weirdest illustration I’ve seen in a Lego manual.)
