     @BrodieOnLinux wait how, literally everyone i talk to who uses linux for everyday tasks doesn't care for wayland until xorg gets dropped and has no downsides. i guess that just shocked me

     I try Wayland every once in a while. I tried Hyprland for three months, but went back to i3. I like Hyprland, but I think there are things fundamentally broken with the Wayland model/architecture that can never be fixed.
     
     But it's also the only way you will ever be able to get HDR.

     80% of the people probably came from windows and don't know how to use X. Wayland is the negrifying of Linux. It's npc slop.
