@fossdd@chaos.social i feel like the matrix community needs to shift focus towards community-built software like conduit, telodendria and the lots of foss clients and kinda just pretend element doesnt exist

  okay, but instead of improving the protocol they fork synapse to rewrite some parts in rust to improve the performance of the server.

    @teto@cawfee.club @troed@ioc.exchange KDE get 350K EUR/y according to their annual report, which is barely enough to pay for the matrix.org hardware costs, let alone anyone to work on Matrix, unfortunately.
