    The #Philippines really needs to mandate the inclusion of air and dust quality in #PAGASA 's forecast. For two weeks now, I ran and went home with too much dust on me. And note that I ran from 03:00 / 4:00 to 5:00 / 6:00.

      @youronlyone I drove my wife to work early one morning and the sun was still rising. The entire way, all I could see was the jeeps blowing thick smoke from the exhaust. The sun’s angle made it really noticeable.

      @my_actual_brain Yep, it's bad. During the hours no one's watching, the old jeepneys, vans, trucks, belching thick smoke are being used. Once the enforcers starts their duty, they hide their vehicles.

      *sigh*

      If only it's easier to find jobs in tbe provinces, I'll move immediately. 😅 In highly urbanized areas, there's no break anymore from pollution.

      @youronlyone I’m lucky to be work from home full time, but my wife is still in the office 3 days a week. So they keeps us here in Manila. If that were not the case, we would also be out of here.

      @my_actual_brain Yeah, Philippine work tradition is often on-site. Just last year, companies who implemented WFH or Hybrid due to lockdowns are slowly returning to pure on-site.

      I'm thinking it has to do with Internet speed if not the computer rig. And it's generally not reliable too. Not like in offices, they have high-speed backups too.

      @my_actual_brain LOL!

      Yep, we're more relaxed at home and tend to forget to ensure we're safe for video chat, or fully awake.

      The few times I had a chance to WFH, I'm thinking the only way I did it was because I'm old enough to have self-control and maybe because being an autistic too. Otherwise, I could have been distracted, doing my stuff instead of work. 😆 (Ironically, I get distracted at the office more because I love listening to people's stories.)

      @youronlyone I could see that. When I got my marriage license, I had to do an online marriage class hosted by the government of San Juan City. The lady hosting, was working from home, and her husband was walking around behind her with no shirt and when he saw me, he shouted, "Hey Joe!".

      I think that situations like this could also be the reason 😂
