   this should be obvious but somehow it isn't to most people, so I'll point it out explicitly
   
   at any given time, hardly anyone can be doing shit like this. like 1 in 10000 people maybe. it's like running your car on free waste oil, if you're the only guy in town doing it that's fine, but as soon as someone else starts trying to do the same thing your exploit breaks down
   
   there's a certain romance in making the lifestyle choice to be a rootless wanderer during times of plenty, I suppose, but when times are lean you're just gonna end up dead in a ditch or in jail
