   the framework keyboard sucks even more than the one on my current Latitude E5550. but I'm not surprised. this is the trend laptops have been moving towards since quite some time
   
   (I absolutely loved the Latitude E5440 keyboard)

     @lizzy @julia there's an asus zephyrus laptop with a mechanical keyboard and it looks nice, but gaming laptops of high quality are outta my budget and I'm not excited that much about them unless they had an intel gpu or no gpu at all, just igpu+cpu.

     @julia i hate flat keyboards i like when you can really feel when your press a key. kinda like mechanical keyboards

     no matter what keyboard i use it's always better than someone else's keyboard

     @kimapr @lizzy @julia i tried a thinkpad t460's keyboard from a classmate and I gotta say, it was awful, granted I'm not used to it, but it didn't feel good.

     iirc last time i tried a mechanical keyboard it was BAD

     at least you get a nice laptop and a nice community behind it (which also the benefit of there being a small number of laptops in which a lot of things are shared), i'm so jelly!

     sure, I get used to typing on the new one, i'll get used to the framework too, but it's just still not the same enjoyment

     @mischievoustomato @julia @kimapr yea i like the framework overall i wouldn't have dumped 3.5k into it otherwise lol
     just that i don't like some of the design decisions of modern laptops in general
